Another additional section that helps people with less work experience is the “Courses” section. This is a great place to build your online brand if you are a college student.

You can also ask for your connections to endorse your skills. These endorsements are much like the personal recommendations in the experience section in that your connections are putting their name on the line. The key difference is that your connection is just saying that “yes, you have this skill” rather than writing a recommendation from scratch, so it may be easier to get more of these endorsements.
